ColourWorks Project

Are you a small BME Business who needs help?

COVID-19 has significantly impacted many areas of life, and most in particular the world of business. Many social entrepreneurs and small businesses as we know have been faced with financial turmoil in this economic downturn. In particular, research has shown that Black, Ethnic and Minority communities have felt an even greater impact due to the difficulties and challenges around access to support, finance and funding- as well as structural inequalities. It is time to convert research findings into real-world impact.

Oftentimes there are barriers to entrepreneurship of not knowing where to start and not knowing what skills are needed to start up. ILFA's mission for 2021, is to provide a business development project that aims to help young entrepreneurs and small BAME businesses in the community stand out.

This project will complement an ongoing project funded through the Scottish
Government’s Volunteering Support Fund managed by The Impact Funders.
Photographic services will be provided for Young Entrepreneurs to set up, showcase and display products for their start-up businesses to present to a wider and competitive marketplace and to boost their confidence to deliver profitable business and services.

An expert business photographer will work with you to provide online workshops and
up to fifteen 1 – 1 consultations regarding your business/idea. You will further be encouraged to participate in entrepreneurship, as well as goal setting and implementation.
